Greg Bush

Bio

Specialising in both contentious and non-contentious matters within the construction and engineering industries, Greg brings over 30 years’ of experience to his practice.

He excels in advising on project delivery strategies, negotiating and drafting contracts, and managing them to optimise client outcomes and minimise disputes. His expertise extends to security of payment remedies, litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution.

Greg represents a diverse range of clients, including principals/ developers, contractors, consultants, and superintendents, as well as government departments and ASX companies. His career highlights include significant hotel developments, complex mixed-use projects, and major engineering and manufacturing ventures.

Greg’s deep industry knowledge and straightforward approach consistently deliver exceptional results for his clients.

Greg’s hobbies include trying to get gold medals at BFT and devising new ways to embarrass his young adult kids.

Damian Tkalec

Bio

Damian has over 30 years’ of experience across law, corporate advisory and leadership roles in private practice and inhouse.

Damian advises developers and builders on multi-residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

His notable work includes providing legal advice in connection with the Melbourne Arts Centre transformation, Melbourne Airport’s terminals expansion projects and capital works program, the $350 million Beacon Cove Port Melbourne redevelopment, and the Quay West Hotel.

His extensive background enables him to deliver strategic and effective legal counsel across various sectors. Known for his warm and approachable manner, he builds strong, trusting relationships by genuinely understanding client needs and providing collaborative support throughout their legal journey.

Outside of work, Damian enjoys spending time with his family, learning foreign languages, and tackling home renovation projects.

Alec Smith is a dedicated lawyer at C&P Legal, bringing his passion for construction and project law to every client matter.

Alec spent five years working as a paralegal while completing his university studies, and upon graduating, gained valuable experience at a Melbourne CBD practice before choosing to focus on construction and projects law.

He brings a range of experience in litigation across various jurisdictions, combined with enthusiasm and commercial insight.

Outside of his practice of law, Alec still dreams of representing Australia in the Ashes or touring the world as a DJ.
